Golden Horseshoe - Gold, Williamsburg, Virginia
Considered
the "Crown Jewel of Virginia golf," the legendary Gold
course ranks #40 in Golf Magazine's 2002, "Top 100 You Can
Play" based on excellence in design, conditioning and service.
Created by Robert Trent Jones in 1963, it boasts two of the "Top
500 Holes in the World" including #16, Jones' first island
green. Narrow rolling fairways lined by tall pines and ancient hardwoods
lead to well protected bent grass greens. All four par threes require
carries over water. Rated 4-1/2 stars by Golf Digest.
Proper golf attire required.
