GC of Brickshire, Providence Forge, Virginia
Stressing
a premium on the short game, Curtis Strange designed the Golf Club
at Brickshire to feature wide fairways leading to small, well-protected
greens with tightly mown collars. Tree-lined fairways, scalloped
bunkers, and fescue rough also await any errantly struck shots.
True to his love of classic designs, Curtis also patterned four
holes after the following great, yet under-appreciated holes --
August National #3, Pinehurst #11, Riviera #10, and St. Andrews
14th.
