Wild Wing - Hummingbird, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
In
addition to the Avocet listed above, Wild Wing features three more
18-hole championship course. The Falcon course is modern yet traditional
in style. Designed by Rees Jones, it features extensive mounding
and a 25-acre lake. Completing the 72-hole facility at Wild Wing
are two courses by Willard Byrd - Hummingbird and Wood Stork. Hummingbird
combines wetlands with stands of native grasses, strategically placed
lakes, open fairways, and an array of waste bunkers. The slightly
longer Wood Stork, offers open fairways that play through both wetlands
and a majestic forest.

Hummingbird always runs a single tee. Wood Stork is the only
Wild Wing course that double tees. |

Michael T. Cabral says:
One of my favorites. A lot of hazards to avoid. Need to do lots
of thinking. Loved the greens. |
