PineHills was designed in 1992 on the site of the Pines Course
at Myrtlewood, which was the fourth 18-hole design built on the
Grand Strand. Arthur Hills transformed this pioneering course into
a contemporary design that immediately became a "must play"
for resident and visiting golfers alike. Hills design was nominated
for Golf Digest's 1994 "Best New Resort Course" and is
widely regarded as one of the best kept courses on the Grand Strand.
