Course
designer Scott Pate, of Seaside Golf Development, has done wonderful
work on the new course at Hernando Oaks. The 7000-yard layout wanders
through beautiful Florida countryside and was designed with a sense
of fairness in mind. The fairways tend to be wide and forgiving,
but there's just the right amount of water to keep your attention.
Your score will be determined mostly on how well you handle the
elevated and undulating greens. If your short game is on, you should
fair well at Hernando Oaks. A round here is well worth the 45-minute
drive north of Tampa.
Optional GPS system fee not included in rates. The golf shop collects
a required $5 per player refundable fee at check in. After the 3rd
hole players are prompted to continue using the system or request
a refund.
