Venetian North Venice, Florida
Located
in North Venice, halfway between Sarasota and Fort Myers is WCI's
newest par-72 masterpiece. Chip Powell's handiwork in the design
of this golf course is reminiscent of the work of the early masters
of golf course architecture. The course is set amidst the serene
Myakka River and a native Florida backdrop. From tee to green the
course challenges and rewards players for skillful shot making.
Abundant mounding, strategically placed bunkers and copious grass
hollows frame the generous fairways. Powell has catered to all playing
abilities by incorporating hazards that offer players the option
of taking a risk and reward or safe play route. The large greens
are moderately contoured and fast making approach shot positioning
a key factor in scoring. With five sets of tees, Venetian provides
all players a dynamic day on the links.
