Stoneybrook Golf Club, Estero, Florida

Info Restrictions Reviews Book A Tee Time

Located just south of Ft. Myers in Estero is one of the longest courses in Florida - 7353 yards from the back tees. Featuring the "Magnificent 7 Tees," (that's right, seven sets of tees to choose from!), this upscale public course boasts immense preserve areas and majestic pines, oaks, and pristine cypress heads that border numerous holes. Although accented with imposing waste bunkers and mounds, its rolling fairways provide wide-open, spacious landing areas. Designed by Jed Azinger and Gordon Lewis, every hole is spectacular. The club is very convenient to both Ft. Myers and Naples area hotels.

Course Reviews
Peter Bulson says:
I had the chance to play this course in February 2001. Great layout, seemed like there was water on every hole and sometimes on both sides of the fairway plus the waste bunkers and wide open layout give a kind of hybrid links feel. I'm a 12-13 handicap and I played the regular tees and it was fairly challenging--the blues would have made it a lot harder--but I haven't played since November I didn't want to torture myself. This is a target golf course and if you're spraying it you're going to get a chance to use their generous drops on nearly every hole. I will definitely play it again--great course, great staff, great price, it couldn't have been a better experience (unless I broke 80)
DAN DESTEFANO says:
The course was very playable and in good condition. The greens were super but the fairways were slightly under par. VEry friendly staff.
Michael Taylor says:
I love this course. I play to about a 3 handicap, and I always play this course from the tips. Its an incredibly fair layout that is quite generous in its landing areas, but poses a great mental strain due to its great length. Holes 17 and 18 is a classic 1-2 as 17 is a long par 3 over water (237 yeards or so) and then 18 is a short attackable par 5 (only 500 yards). 18 is your reward for staying patient throught the round and gives you a green light to attack. If you play smart on this course you can easily shoot in the 70s. If you slip up, the scores can baloon quite easily. That's the mark of a great golf course.
