While
modest in length, this well-maintained course by Mark McCumber offers
a multitude of water hazards and tight fairways. It's a true example
of how length does not necessarily constitute the best in golf.
The final hole, a 409-yard, par-4 dogleg left is an intriguing finishing
hole where par is most satisfying and a birdie leaves the player
with a full feeling of triumph. Located in Port Charlotte, 45 minutes
south of Sarasota and 40 minutes north of Ft. Myers

Course Reviews
Dan Cormier SAYS...
Since moving to Port Charlotte, FL in October of 2002, I've
had the privelege of playing dozens of golf courses in the area.
Only one course though, Deep Creek, was the club of choice in
regards to a membership. Aside from the consistently well-manicured
conditions - from tee to green - Deep Creek GC is possibly the
most professional, friendly and helpful staff I've ever been
associated with. This was obvious to me the first minute I entered
the clubhouse. These qualities set Deep Creek apart from the
rest, in my book. My hat's off to Bruce Harris (the head pro)
as well, as he has lowered my handicap from 18 to 11 in just
a few lessons. Thanks Bruce, and thanks Deep Creek for making
my move to Florida THAT much more enjoyable.
