Although
almost 500 yards shorter than the South, the par-70 North Course
at Turnberry Isle is quite a shotmaker's test. Both courses were
designed by Robert Trent Jones in the early 1970s and the North
is very typical of his work through that time frame. From the first
hole on, you'll understand Mr. Jones' philosophy of "hard par,
easy bogey."
