St. James Club, Port St Lucie, Florida
Open
since early 2000, St. James Golf Club bills itself as "the
Treasure Coast's most enjoyable golf experience." Designed
with the average player in mind, this great new layout features
12 links-style holes and six holes that run through Florida native
pines and natural wetlands. It is quickly becoming one of the area's
most popular courses with beautiful shimmering lakes on 17 of 18
holes. The club, headed by PGA Master Professional Kevin Perkins,
features a state-of-the-art practice facility with a large natural
grass tee, target greens, practice fairway bunker and a designated
short game area complete with putting green, pitching green, and
contoured chipping area.

| Course Reviews |
James Stammer says:
Tons of room on this friendly course! Most of the hazards do
not come into play and there are few forced carries. The nearly-treeless
links design depends on wind to make the course play tougher.
With little or no wind, the course is nearly defenseless. Great
course for the family or higher handicappers looking to enjoy
their round playing, not counting penalty strokes. |
