Conuntry Club of Miami - West, Miami, Florida
Located equidistant from both Miami and Ft. Lauderdale Airports,
the CC of Miami (formerly G.C. of Miami) surpasses your expectations
from the minute you take your first step into the Clubhouse. Guests
enjoy outstanding service coupled with superbly conditioned 36 holes
of Championship Golf. Jackie Gleason not only lived here, but also
played with the likes of Bob Hope and Bing Crosby. Jack Nicklaus
played his first event as a professional here. Arnold Palmer was
the first resident golf professional.
West Course: This 7,017-yard, par-72 course hosted the finals of
the 1991 Senior PGA Tour qualifying school. It's treacherous bunkers;
lush fairways and swift rolling greens truly offer a most difficult
test of golf. On this course Lee Trevino won the National Airlines
Open, his first professional victory.
