Ponte Vedra - Ocean Course
Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida
Dating
back to 1928, The Ocean Course at The Ponte Vedra Inn & Club
is arguably Florida's first "great" course. With two major
renovations (by Robert Trent Jones in 1947 and Bobby Weed in 1998),
the club has mainted its greatness through the years. The course
features elevated greens that are well-guarded by devlishly tough
bunkers. Most notably, the signature 150-yard, par-three 9th hole
is thought to be the first-ever island green designed.
