Stonegate Golf Club, Poinciana, Florida

Info Restrictions Reviews Book A Tee Time

As the focal point of the new community at Solivita, Stonegate Golf Club is a great example of how a course can be enjoyable for players of all ages and abilities. Designer Ron Garl laid the course out at over 7000 yards from the back tees for the "big hitters," but also ingeniously mapped out three more forgiving sets of tees. With water on eight holes and free-forming collars around the greens, there's a definite emphasis on the short game. After all, golf's most famous adage is "drive for show and putt for dough." Located in Poinciana, about 25 minutes south of Route 192 and the Disney area.

Course Reviews
Andre Webster says:
I recently had an opportunity to play a couple of rounds at Stonegate and I would have to say that it was one of the most enjoyable times I've ever had on a golf course. The manicured fairways and quick greens offered everything you could as for from a golf course. But it wasn't just the golf course itself that was appealing but the quality of service that my friends and I received while we were there. The rangers were friendly and very helpful not to mention the service provided while at the clubhouse. All of which left nothing to be desired. With an array of wildlife and sand the views were excellent and I look forward to returning next year to play it once again.
JOE SEPANEK SAYS...
Played it on the third day of 4 days of golf. Nice course, challenging layout, good greens. Staff seemed a bit "busy" with themselves and getting to the course was a bit arduous as we passed right by it due to no sign whatsoever. It just seemed like a rather "stuffy" place which detracted from an otherwise good course. We'll pass on playing it again.
Scott Z. SAYS...
Am currently planning a return trip to Orlando area & realized I neglected to review this course from last year.Good course, nice greens. But have to concur with above poster about poor service. From noone at the bag drop upon arrival to noone in the pro shop at finish, it was very poorly managed.I got the impression that, had we not wanted carts, our group could have walked on to the 1st tee & not been noticed.
