Southern Dunes, Haines City, Florida

2888 Southern Dunes Blvd
Haines City, Florida 33844
Polk County

A truly unique layout, this award-winning course has been ranked among the "Top 100 Courses in America" by Golfweek and awarded four stars by Golf Digest. Steve Smyers' design features imaginative bunkering and large sandy scrub areas that line dramatically rolling fairways. Unusual for Central Florida, the course has elevation changes of up to 100 feet and a series of huge dunes that give it even more character. Best of all, the Tifdwarf Bermuda greens are large, true and fast. This first-class club has added a great new golf shop and is located just 20 minutes from Highway 192 area in Orlando.

Course Reviews
Jack W. Armstrong says:
Played in early June in the middle of a drought-golf course in OUTSTANDING condition. One of my top 5 in Central FLA. Can be intimidating for high handicappers-but enjoyable if you play from correct tees. I always recommend this course to those visiting Orlando.
Russ Eihausen SAYS...
Most Outstanding course in Florida, played in early January and it was the most green and best kept course. Even though the bunkers are a challenge the course is fun and exciting for all handicaps.
Joe C SAYS...
Played the course on Jan. 9, 2003. The greens were in excellent shape along with the fairways. The staff was also very friendly. I would recommend playing this couse even though the price is a little high.
Scott Z. SAYS...
An excellent course, tons of sand, but fair.Best greens we played on.Beverage cart doesn't stray far from clubhouse but there is water out on the course.
BETH/DAVID SHERO SAYS...
In orlando? You must play this course! Almost 200 sand traps, that's over 10/hole, but most of them don't come into play unless you look at them. Some of them are flat and easy and some of them you need a step ladder to get in and out of. But this is a fair course with wonderful greens. Lots of challange with lots of rewards. Must must play!
j kelly SAYS...
played 10/01/03, and was warned by the starter about the number of traps, and hit my share, but became a must play on each trip. great layout and very enjoyable.
Chris Quesnelle SAYS...
An outstanding course, greens are in great shape and very fast. A great layout and fun to play, just stay away from the traps. A must play.
