Ridgewood Lakes, Davenport, Florida
200
Eagle Ridge Dr Davenport, Florida 33837
Polk County
Rated by Golf Digest as the Best New Course in 1994 and one of
the Top 50 Courses in Florida by The Florida Golfer in 1999, this
Ted McAnlis layout is a truly diverse test of golf. Shot positioning
is crucial as water and/or wetlands can be found on 16 holes. The
front nine is not encumbered by homes, but water is everywhere.
The back side plays through a more residential area but actually
offers slightly wider fairways. A beautiful southern-style clubhouse
is an additional amenity. Located close to I-4 just 15 minutes south
of Highway 192.
GOLF 'TIL YOU DROP! From September 27, 2003 through January
18, 2004 the morning rate includes "Unlimited" golf. We
can schedule a complimentary second round starting time in advance,
then you can play as many holes as desired.
BONUS! All customers booked through us will receive a free
Ridgewood Lakes hat and a $20 discount coupon valid toward pro shop
merchandise purchases.

Jack W Armstrong says:
Much more of a challenge than course rating suuggests. A great
bargain relative to many courses in Orlando area. You really
need to drive it straight to score well here. Homes on back
nine do not detract from scenery. |
Ray Williams says:
This course has a lot going for it. I would give it a really
high rating if it wasnt for a few holes that leave a little
to be desired with regards the roads that run through the middle
of it that leaves you with distracting thoughts when, trying
to tee-off. Watching a car drive towards you as you are looking
to tee-off when you are a nervous nellie 18 handicapper, hardly
leaves one feeling warm and fuzzy. Great staff, lovely course
and a great bargain. Couple of really interesting holes including
a truly ridiculous par 4 that is almost 3/4 of a circle with
water encasing/guarding most of that. Most fo teh fairways are
pretty generous though there are a couple of holes where your
precision is most definitely required. |
PAUL FOSTER says:
ONE OF THE BETTER COURSES IN ORLANDO, GREENS SMOTH AND FAST,
FAIRWAYS WERE IN EXCELLANT SHAPE, EXPENSIVE HOMES IN THE COMMUNITY
MAKES YOU FEEL YOU ARE PLAYING A HIGH END PRIVATE CLUB. 2ND
HOLE A LITTLE DIFFERENT WITH BLIND WATER ON RIGHT SIDE. PLAYED
HERE 5/6 YEARS AGO AND WHAT A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NOW AND THEN.
THE STAFF IS ONE OF MOST FRIENDLIEST OF THE OTHER COURSES WE
PLAYED. A MUST PLAY COURSE WHILE IN ORLANDO. |
lan MacRae SAYS...
5 of us played here in February 03 and we all thought this course
was outstanding. The greens were great, course was well set up,and
the staff very helpfull. |
JOE SEPANEK SAYS...
Just played it while on a golf vacation. Very nice course. Lush
fairways, fast greens, pretty scenery. LOTS of water. If you
are a high handicapper, take a lot of balls with you. Of the
4 courses we played, this was the most pleasing to the eye.
Just LOTS of water. You must drive it in the fairway. Period.
It's on my list of courses I want to play again. |
