North Shore, Orlando, Florida
The
challenging new course at North Shore, by Mike Dasher, has added
some pizzazz to the east side of Orlando. Dasher is well known in
the area for his design at Highlands Reserve and his creations with
Arthur Hills. His layout here winds gently through majestic oak
tree groves and is bordered by Lake Hart -- a spectacular backdrop.
The course is already considered one of Central Florida's best golf
values with TifEagle greens providing the best putting surfaces
available. North Shore is the ultimate choice for both day of arrival
and departure play with a close proximity to the airport. The
club is also home to the Adrian Wadey Golf Academy.

25-Dec-01 Abe Lopman says:
Played the course once. LIKED THE LAYOUT. The course moves
thru some of the most interesting Central Florida terrain.
Several holes are short but take great shot making to score
well. The greens are the best i have seen in Orlando this
season. Can't wait to see this course mature. A great addition
to a community with outstanding Golf Courses. Staff is most
accomadating. When club house is complete it will top off
what is already a great day out. |

Despite y dislike of courses with communities surroundingthem
I quite liek this course. Quite challenging for a 18 handicapper
like myself. Wonderful greens. I would look forward to playing
thsi course again next year to seehow it has matured. Definitely
one toput on your list of those to play. |

Nice course - Nice people. Two different nines make for an
interesting day. The front is especially good. The back is
more of a traditional Fla. design. Well worth playing. |

Played on Dec. 28/02. Liked the course, especially the contrast
between the wide open holes and the tree lined holes. The
conditions of the bunkers are inconsistent. Overall, a very
good value. |

Great Value! Our group from Michigan flew in on Fri afternoon
in March 03. We booked this course because its 15 min. from
the airport. We teed off at 2:20 and paid the $35 dollar afternoon
rate. What an enjoyable course. Great variety with 2 totally
differently set up 9's. The fairways were fast and in good
shape on the front and a little slower but still in shape
on the back. You can't ask for a better deal at $35, but I
would still play at the $65 basic rate. Friendly people, great
layout, good conditions. The only draw back is the slow play.
No rangers to be found. We got 17 holes in before dark taking
4 1/2 hours. Other wise it was great fun ! I rate it an 8
out of 10 golf experience based on true putting greens, good
rolling fairways, a wide variety of hole set ups, and a great
value. |
