Matanzas Woods, Palm Coast, Florida
Designed
by course architects Arnold Palmer & Ed Seay, Matanzas Woods
is a very challenging course with open, rolling fairways, well-bunkered
greens, and water on eight holes. This interesting layout offers
a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, meandering through a variety of
cypress and pine trees... virtually no homes! The signature hole
is the 529-yard, par-5, 18th that features a demanding approach
shot to a small "island" green.

Gord Croucher SAYS...
I play it once or twice a year when my family vacations in Daytona
(from Montreal). A great course with a split personality: the
front nine is more open (I am guessing from fire back in 90's)
and the back is treed. Noone golfing in the area should miss
this course. |
