Champions Gate - National, Davenport, Florida
1400
Masters Blvd., Champions Gate,
Florida 33896
Greg Norman has designed the National as a classic American-style
layout that rolls gently through 200 acres of southern woodlands
and wetlands. The layout's key trait is diversity with wall-to-wall
fairway bunkers running up along holes 12 through 16, three double
doglegs, a massive double-green shared by the fourth and 16th holes,
and a sunken fairway on the seventh. Impeccably maintained, the
National boasts a pristine, natural golf experience without bordering
homes or developments. Superior service, including free valet parking,
are a hallmark of the management by Meadowbrook Golf.
Our customers will receive a Santa's grab bag discount coupon

Loren Leys says:
Wonderful course! Our group's favorite among the Orlando area
courses we have played. |
JOHN LENNON says:
We played both the National and International courses. While
we all felt that the layouts were excellent, we were left with
the feeling that everything is unfinished. The surroundings
are somewhat boring to look at. This is an expensive course
and our recommendation is to wait 5 years for everything to
"grow in". |
Russ Eihausen SAYS...
If you are looking for a stiff test of all facets of your game
then the National would be it. It offers great facilities and
a course that is among the best. I highly recommend the National
to any traveler to Orlando, do not miss it. |
John Watson SAYS...
I played it with a friend at the end of November 2002, and I
have to say that the greens were in the best condition of any
course I've ever played in the Orlando area. The National must
be the number one course now for Orlando golf. When everything
is finally complete in the next year or so it really will be
an exceptional facility. |
skip falcone SAYS...
every attention to detail has been taken here to provide a great
golf experience. they park your car, summon you to the tee and
get you around the course in a reasonable time: the only thing
they can`t do for you is guarantee a good score.liked both courses
but the national is in my opinion slightly better.playing conditions
are excellent. design is top notch for a daily fee course. it
will test your game. we played the 3`s and 5`s from all the
way back and the 4`s from the blues. this gave us about 6800
yds which was an enjoyable test.the management runs a slick
operation. |
Marty McClune SAYS...
6 of us played it on 1/26/04. Two 12 Hndcps, three 15 hndcps,
& one 21. We all loved the course. We all felt it was a
little diff than your normal Florida course. It was in good
shape, greens included, def would play it again. |
